BLACK BEAUTIES 

For all the homeless animals at the pound, there are numerous challenges to being chosen for adoption into new homes. One curious disadvantage and unfortunate obstacle some animals face is simply the color of their fur . . . black.  Interestingly, potential adopters tend to avoid choosing pets with black fur. Sadly, many precious animals are euthanized for no other reason.

Milagro wants to address this issue and raise awareness for the plight of the "black beauties."   Milagro currently has four black beauties in our care - Madrigal, Sonnie, Jack, and Rosie - four of the most awesome pets in the world.  See their photos below.  If all we have to do is vacuum extra once in awhile, well that's okay.  Madrigal and Sonnie and Jack and Rosie are worth that little bit of effort - and so much more.  ** And ladies, consider this - black fur won't show on your "little black dress" or the rest of your black wardrobe . . . a very important detail.  **

PLEASE - next time you go to the pound to save a little life, stop and look closely at the "black beauties" - they're as special as all the others, and will bless your lives just as richly.  And when you do bring home your next "black beauty", send us a photo - we'll be thrilled to post your new pet on this page.
